Leeds Guide: Moortown
Moortown is mainly a residential area north of the city, with good schools and a very low crime rate. The area has a few nice pubs and restaurants, and bus routes that run straight down Scott Hall Road into the city centre.
Moor Allerton District Centre is north of the ring road. It includes a public library, however it is mainly a shopping centre, with a large Sainsbury’s,a Homebase, a Comet, a newsagent, cobbler’s and several other small shops. It also includes a pub, the Penny Fun, which serves food.
The Thai Lotus is a friendly and authentic restaurant serving a wide range of Thai delicacies – there’s something here for everyone.
El Bareto is a family run Spanish tapas restaurant, also with an authentic atmosphere and an excellent variety of tapas and wines to try.
