According to an article on the Landlord Today website, recent research of the world's leading property markets by the property investment company IP Global has identified The Northern Powerhouse cities of Leeds, Manchester, and Liverpool as global property investment hotspots.
The report states,
"Leeds is the largest economy in the UK outside London which is proving very appealing for international investors. 18.8% rental growth is forecast between 2018 and 2021, which is being driven by a student population of 65,000 and key growth industries bringing 6% annual job growth in the private sector.
There is also a significant supply shortfall with 90,000 units to be delivered by 2021, but only 60,000 units in the development pipeline. With willing renters and buyers Leeds is well-placed to grow and showing all signs of a strong future."
