For the last ten years we have been supporting Strongbones Children Charitable Trust and have raised a considerable amount of money for this fantastic cause. The Trust was set up fifteen years ago to help alleviate the pain, suffering and financial burden of families who have children suffering from serious conditions of the bone.
Now we are turning our attention to Martin House Hospice who provide family led care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions, offering planned respite care, symptom control, nursing and practical care, community support, end of life care, and bereavement support.
So, what better way to kick our support off for Martin House Hospice than by kicking two of our valued team out of an airplane at 18,000 feet. We could have gone in with the sponsored run, a bike ride, even a cake bake or two, but it was actually Grace & Abi who suggested a sponsored skydive. Nothing like setting the bar high, is there ladies? I can't wait to see what the rest of the team are going to come up with.
We are incredibly proud of Grace & Abi for doing this, as should be everyone who knows them. So please, give them the encouragement and support they will need whilst at the same time helping a fantastic hospice who do so much incredible work for children with life-limiting conditions.
