As of Wednesday 13th May 2020, the Government announced that property sales and lettings activity can resume within England, under The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (Amendment) (No2) Regulations. As delighted we are with this news, our main focus still remains the health and safety of our staff, landlords, tenants, viewers and contractors.
As much as we would love to get straight back to the office and resume activity, the guidance from the Government is clear that we must work within guidelines and protocols. In other-words, there is absolutely no rush to re-open our office and any return has to be done carefully and responsibly.
As it happens, we have been highly effective as a unit working from home. It has been business as usual and as a result we have successfully let 67% more properties through video viewings in the current lock-down period than the same period last year.
We are currently reviewing our processes to ensure that we comply with the Government’s ‘Working Safely During COVID-19’ guidelines, published on Monday 11th May. This is something we need to get 100% right and we will not proceed until we know we have absolutely everything in place to ensure the health and safety to every one of our clients.
We will continue to work from home with the same efficiency and success we have displayed over the current lock-down period and once all of our processes are in place we will begin a gradual re-opening of our office.
We would like to thank you for your understanding during these times and look forward to seeing you all again sometime soon.
